All right, so it's public news that I am expecting my first child in late February. While my 'real' life will probably have all the usual pastel-tinted, cutesy, lace-trimmed events and genuinely well-meaning but cliché platitudes, I'm hoping fandom will bring the fun stuff.

That means PORN and KID!FIC and whatever other joyful fanworks with that sort of theme you can think of. LET'S HAVE A FEST!

With the deadline fast approaching this past weekend, countrypixie1 and I flew into a frenzy of wrting in a desperate attempt to finish our collaborative fic in time. The final posting day for ae_match was yesterday, and damn but that snuck up on me fast. So this past weekend has been ca-razy amounts of writing: my drabble for ae_ldws and the last bit of Greater than Want, Deeper than Need (see next post). And, because I actually really like pressure (a lot of pressure), I decided to write another entry for the match at the 11th hour. Well, okay, more like the 10th hour. I think I wrote this with two hours left to go before the deadline.

ALSO! You guys, this match was fucking amazing. I can't believe how much was produced, and the quality still blows my mind. I'm so proud of both teams.

So anyway, here: have a bit of angst over at the original post or here below the cut. Don't worry; I managed to exceed my tolerance for relationship-based angst, so in this one Eames and Arthur find comfort in each other.

I did it! I signed up! I've been saying in my comments for aaaages that I'm planning some longer things. At least one of those is now tagged for Inception Big Bang, and this one will have art by the incredible sin_repent. To say I'm excited and eager about this collaboration would be a grievous understatement. It's an Arthur/Eames fic, of course — the long-promised serial killers-in-love fic. But the other characters will also be present for a change.

There will be violence. There will be porn. And, if all goes according to plan, there will be plot. (Puts on determined face.)

So that's me. I would be delighted and forever grateful to anyone else who takes this on. I promise I'll cheerlead or be stern (if that's what you want and need) and otherwise commiserate as we see each other over the finish line. Already I'm over the moon with the lineup of artists and writers, and I can't wait to see these amazing ideas take shape.
