What I said, sort of, was that in fairy tales everything is simple: a distillation of our beliefs and fears to pass on to our children. Trying to blend that with a more 'realistic' story with established characters was weird, but it was also kind of fun trying to find the alignment between the archetypal characters, what they represent, and what is present in the canon characters of Inception. I also thought it would be interesting to use the characters to cast a different message in the fairy tale.
I have no idea how much of this came through, because honestly, I just tried to write something coherent. But the desire was there. :D
